CUCA ROSETA
// traditional fado

Cuca Roseta is one of the most acclaimed and respected voices of fado. The fado singer, who has already released seven albums - signed by the world's most prestigious producers - has made a career of enormous success, with great recognition from the media and the public.

Her debut album was produced by Gustavo Santaolalla, a prestigious producer and holder of several Grammys and Oscars. Never before had anyone in fado achieved so much credibility and awakened so much interest in a producer with such notoriety. Cuca Roseta was the first to accomplish this. The success of her homonymous album was so great that it rapidly highlighted her as one of the most important fado singers of the present time. After Gustavo Santaolalla, also Nelson Motta, a remarkable brazilian producer, surrendered to Cuca Roseta's talent and produced "Riu", an album that would revolutionise her career, crossing her singing with artists such as Bryan Adams, Jorge Drexler, Ivan Lins and many others.
Cuca Roseta has performed on the most important national stages and has shown all her talent and her voice in more than 50 countries around the world. Throughout her career she has shared musical moments with Julio Iglesias, Djavan, David Bisbal, among many others. Cuca Roseta also had the privilege of being the only artist to sing for Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis, having also been invited to sing for the Monarchs of Spain - both in Portugal and Madrid - as well as for the Swedish Monarchs.

In recent times, Cuca Roseta has asserted and confirmed all her talent before the mass audience, having presented them with two remarkable pieces of work. The first, a tribute album to Amália Rodrigues, "Amália por Cuca Roseta" which received huge praise from the media and lastly, her most recent album "Meu", a record where the fado singer declares herself as the author and composer of all the tracks, a record which was highly applauded by her public. A work that enhances her country and its popular and musical roots, from fado to folklore.

Cuca Roseta is much more than a voice. She is unique in her singing and has a brilliant and distinctive way of singing that makes us hold our breath and gets us “pinned to our seats", taking us on an intense and fascinating journey into the depths of the soul. And Cuca Roseta is all that: a surprising, opportune and dazzling fado voice in its purest state. A fado with all the truth it should have and that imperatively deserves to be heard.
Cuca Roseta is also a woman of causes, solidary, embracing with conviction numerous associations and institutions that promote and value society or the environment. Cuca Roseta is, at the same time, one of the Jurors in the Got Talent Portugal and The Voice, an RTP1 programs that promotes and spotlights the country's artistic and musical talent.
